The Translation Company Directory Built for North America
The North American Translation Alliance brings professional translation companies, language service providers and translation buyers together in one dedicated platform. Our directory helps organizations find companies operating across the United States and Canada, while our Press Room and Insights publications give the language industry a place to share news, follow market developments and strengthen professional connections.
NATA is built around a simple idea: companies should be easier to discover, buyers should have better information, and the North American language services industry should have a platform that reflects its scale, diversity and expertise.
A Directory, Media Platform and Industry Resource
NATA is more than a list of company names. It is an independent, membership-based directory and media platform created for the business of translation, localization and professional language services in North America.
The directory gives each member company space to present its services, language capabilities, areas of specialization, locations, certifications and professional memberships. The Press Room provides a structured home for company announcements and industry news. Insights adds data, rankings, buyer guidance and analysis of the forces shaping the language market.
Together, these resources create a clearer connection between the companies delivering language services and the organizations looking for qualified providers.

Read InsightsHelping Buyers Find the Right Translation Company
Finding a translation agency is easy. Finding one with the right language combination, subject-matter expertise, geographic presence and credentials can be much harder. The NATA Directory is designed to make that search more useful.
Buyers can explore professional translation companies by location, language and specialization, then review individual company profiles before making direct contact. Whether the requirement involves legal documents, medical content, financial communications, technical documentation, certified translations, interpreting or software localization, the directory helps buyers build a more relevant shortlist.
NATA does not act as an intermediary in the commercial relationship. Buyers contact listed companies directly and remain free to compare providers, request quotes and carry out their own due diligence.
A Stronger Presence for Translation Companies
For translation companies and language service providers, NATA membership creates a recognized presence within a defined professional market. A member profile is not limited to an address and a website link. It is a dedicated company page designed to communicate expertise and help prospective clients understand what makes the business relevant to their needs.
An active annual membership includes:
- A professional company profile in the NATA Directory
- Visibility by location, language and specialization
- Use of the official NATA Member Badge while membership remains active
- Access to member publication opportunities in the NATA Press Room
- The ability to manage and update company information
- Participation in a platform focused on the North American language industry
Press releases, featured articles, interviews and other promotional formats are separate publication services and are not included in the annual membership fee unless expressly stated.
Built Around the North American Market
The United States and Canada contain one of the world's most diverse and commercially important language markets. Buyers range from individuals and law firms to hospitals, manufacturers, technology companies, public institutions and multinational corporations. Their requirements vary by jurisdiction, industry, language and intended use.
NATA gives this market a dedicated point of reference. Its geographic structure supports discovery at the national, state, provincial and local levels, while its editorial coverage follows the companies, associations, technologies, regulations and economic developments affecting language services across the region.
More Than a List of Company Names
A strong professional community also needs a place to follow its own development. The NATA Press Room publishes member announcements, company news, association updates, partner information and selected developments from across the translation and localization sector.
NATA Insights goes further by examining market data, buyer behavior, technology, language demand and the future of professional translation. Regular formats include buyer guides, rankings, market maps, statistical features and the NATA Barometer.
This combination of directory, news and analysis is what turns NATA from a listing website into an industry platform.
Membership, Listing and Verification
Every company with an active, approved membership may display the NATA Member Badge. The badge confirms that the company maintains an active listing in the directory; it is not, by itself, a certification or guarantee of service quality.
NATA Verified Company is a separate status. It may be granted only after the company completes the applicable documentary review and satisfies the verification requirements in effect at that time. The public company profile will indicate the status held and, where applicable, its validity date.
Independent, Transparent and Useful
NATA is an independent commercial platform. It is not a governmental body, licensing authority, accreditation organization or traditional trade association, and membership does not confer a statutory professional designation.
Our role is to organize professional information, provide useful visibility, publish relevant industry content and make it easier for companies and buyers to find one another. Listings are created from information supplied by member companies and reviewed before publication, but buyers should always confirm that a provider's capabilities and credentials meet the requirements of their project.
How a Company Joins NATA
- 1Create a company account and purchase the annual NATA membership.
- 2Complete the company profile with locations, services, languages, specializations and credentials.
- 3Provide any supporting information requested during the profile review.
- 4Submit the profile for approval by the NATA team.
- 5Once approved, maintain the listing and display the NATA Member Badge while the membership remains active.
